Tallow is a traditional soap-making ingredient valued for the rich, creamy lather it creates. Its natural fatty-acid profile makes it well suited to creating a firm, long-lasting bar that cleans effectively without relying on harsh detergents. A properly formulated tallow soap helps remove everyday dirt while leaving the skin feeling clean and comfortable after washing. At Sage & Simple, we believe skincare does not need to be unnecessarily complicated. Handmade in small batches

Every Sage & Simple soap is handmade in Johannesburg using carefully selected ingredients. Our bars are produced in small batches, allowing close attention to every stage of the process—from preparing the ingredients and pouring the soap to cutting, curing, labelling and packing each order. After being cut, the soaps are cured for approximately six weeks. This important step allows the bars to become firmer and longer-lasting while helping them develop the creamy lather that makes handcrafted soap so enjoyable to use. Because every bar is handmade, slight differences in colour, texture, shape and appearance may occur. These natural variations are part of what makes each Sage & Simple bar unique.

How to care for your soaps

To help each bar last as long as possible:

• Wet the soap and work it into a lather between your hands or on a washcloth.
• Apply the lather to the skin and rinse thoroughly.
• Keep the soap away from your eyes.
• Allow the bar to dry completely between uses.
• Store it on a well-draining soap dish rather than leaving it in standing water.
• Keep unused bars in a cool, dry place until needed.

Delivery information

The first-batch bundle costs R349 with delivery included throughout South Africa. Orders are generally prepared within one to three business days. Delivery normally takes an additional two to five business days after dispatch, depending on your location and the courier service. You will receive the four soaps together in one carefully packed order.
