Sage & Simple is a South African business specialising in handcrafted natural tallow soaps and skincare products.

Our products are handcrafted in small batches using natural ingredients.
As a result:
Colour, texture, shape and appearance may vary slightly from batch to batch.
Product images are for illustrative purposes only.
Minor imperfections are part of the handmade nature of our products and are not considered defects.
4. Ingredients & Allergies
Our products contain natural oils, tallow, essential oils, botanical ingredients and other natural materials.
Customers are responsible for reviewing the ingredient list before purchasing.
If you have allergies, sensitive skin, or medical skin conditions, we recommend performing a patch test before regular use.
If irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately.
Sage & Simple cannot guarantee that products are suitable for every skin type.
We make every effort to ensure all product descriptions, photographs and information are accurate.
However, we do not warrant that:
descriptions are completely error-free;
colours displayed on different screens will exactly match the product received;
all information will remain current without updates.
We reserve the right to correct any errors without prior notice.
All prices displayed on our website are in South African Rand (ZAR).
Prices may change without notice.
The price charged will be the price displayed at the time your order is confirmed.
We accept secure online payments through approved payment providers available at checkout.
Orders will only be processed once payment has been successfully received and confirmed.
Sage & Simple does not store your payment card details.
Submission of an order does not automatically constitute acceptance.
We reserve the right to:
refuse any order;
cancel an order due to pricing errors;
cancel orders where stock is unavailable;
cancel suspected fraudulent transactions.
Should payment already have been received, a full refund will be issued.
Because our soaps are handcrafted in small batches, products may occasionally become unavailable.
If an item is out of stock after purchase, we will contact you to arrange either:
a refund;
a replacement product; or
waiting for the next production batch.
We currently deliver throughout South Africa for a flat delivery fee of R80 per order.
Orders are generally processed within 1–3 business days.
Estimated delivery time is 2–5 business days after dispatch, depending on your location.
Delivery timeframes are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed.
Sage & Simple is not responsible for courier delays caused by:
weather;
public holidays;
incorrect delivery information;
events beyond our reasonable control.
Risk in the products passes to the customer upon successful delivery.
11. Incorrect Delivery Details
Customers are responsible for ensuring that all delivery information supplied during checkout is accurate.
Additional courier charges resulting from incorrect addresses may be payable by the customer.
If you receive a product that is damaged, defective or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order.
Where appropriate, we may offer:
a replacement;
a refund; or
store credit.
For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of opened or used soaps unless the product is defective.
All returns must comply with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act where applicable.

Our products are cosmetic products intended for cleansing and skincare purposes only.
They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition.

14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Sage & Simple shall not be liable for:
indirect losses;
consequential damages;
loss of income;
allergic reactions where ingredients were disclosed;
misuse of products;
failure to follow product instructions.
Our maximum liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the affected product.

All content on this website, including but not limited to:
logos;
branding;
photographs;
graphics;
product descriptions;
text;

remains the property of Sage & Simple and may not be copied, reproduced or distributed without written permission.
